Christmas….in January

My blogging has been less than fantastic these last couple months. I have been so busy, this new work schedule of mine is proving to be more and more difficult to get things other than necessity items checked off my to do list. Hoping for more time in the coming months to do things I actually like to do, like keeping up with my blog. Anyway, Christmas…wow, we had an amazing Christmas! The kidlins were both sick but hung in there like champs and got so many gifts. We had such a great time watching them open them all. Once you add up the gifts from santa, from us, gifts from all the grandparents and friends etc, it adds up to quite a lot. We opened in shifts this year as T wanted to play with everything she opened as soon as she opened it. Ella was of course more concerned with the wrapping paper etc than the actual gifts. They both received such nice things and thanks to my toy purge just before the holiday we actually had space for it all. Now, we just have to get rid of all the baby stuff that Miss Bella doesn’t use any more. We had a visitor for Christmas this year! Grandma Tish came for 10 days to spend the holiday with us. Birdie was more than thrilled to have a constant play mate. It was nice to have the company and see the girls spend time with Grandma Tish. It seems whenever you are visiting or having a visitor the time passes so fast. We went to church Christmas Eve with my parents and Goonie and Papa. The Brown’s also joined us for Christmas Eve service this year too which meant some time was spent outside the church during the service due to there being no nursery hours on the holiday. After church everyone came back to our house, sans the Brown’s they had their family plans, for some ham etc. It was a good time. We put some cookies out for Santa, carrots out for the Reindeer and put the kids down. Birdie of course stayed up, confined to our room and waited for us to come up and go to bed. Christmas morning was as usual and Christmas night we went to Goonie and Papa’s for a wonderful Christmas dinner and to open even more presents from them! The kids were exhausted afterward. In all a wonderful holiday and looking forward to next year. Here are some pics from Christmas Eve…
