We took the kids for a ride on the Polar Express! It was quite a sight with all of us. It was us, the Brown's, the Malone's, the Smith's and the Chamberlain’s! So, 20 of us total. The kids got to see Santa and tell him what they wanted. Bonus for us cause then we get to avoid the mall Santa. Tatum loved him and Ellison was fine with him until she looked at him and then looked at me and was like ummmmm, get me out of here! The Grand Canyon Railway in Flagstaff does a ride at Christmas time that goes up to the "north pole" and Santa is there waiting for the kids. He comes on the train and gives each kiddo a bell. It is really very cute. The train ride was a bit long, you know, 1.5 hours on a train with little ones is a bit of a challenge but it was worth it. We had a great time! We went back to the hotel, went to dinner and had a high school type party in one hotel room wherein the receptionist called at midnight to tell us they were getting noise complaints about our room. Really? Anyway, went to breakfast the next morning and headed home. Definitely something to become a tradition for years to come!
