While I was having my annual party, Josh decided to take Tatum and brave zoo lights with Preston and his kiddos and Theo and Rowan. It just so happened it was a frigid night, well, frigid by Az standards and apparently they had to park a good 25 minute walk away from the entrance. Then once they got in the kids were freezing but all seemed well once they got some hot chocolate. It was a good time although, not sure they will brave zoo lights again next year....perhaps dinner at someone's house and a couple beers would suffice. Here are some pictures from the night. A little birdie told me that this phrase was actually uttered at some time during the night...."Dude, face it, they are better at this than we are." Made me chuckle.

What great "daddy's" to brave the cold with the little ones... and to even capture it on film. I am so proud of you guys for having a special time with the kids. Memories in the making :-)

the boys definitely get the extra effort award for this one ... i would've left before parking 25 minutes away! :-) this is story i think we'll be telling and re-telling for years! sara
